About Memoir & Co
Memoir & Co was founded by Richy Sutton, a UK author whose books have reached readers across the UK, USA, and Canada. Through his writing and life experiences, Richy discovered that the most meaningful stories are often hidden in the everyday moments of ordinary people—lives that shaped families, communities, and generations in quiet but extraordinary ways. We believe biographies should not be reserved for the well-known. Every life is filled with defining moments—love, loss, resilience, humour, hardship, triumph—and these stories deserve to be preserved, not lost to time. We’re continually moved by the remarkable depth found in so-called “ordinary” lives, and we feel privileged to help families capture these legacies. Take the retired nurse who spent over 40 years comforting patients and families through some of their most difficult moments. Her hands held trembling hands, her words brought calm to frightened hearts, and her presence became a source of strength for thousands of people over decades. Her story wasn’t told in newspapers, but in the memories of those she helped through the darkest hours. Or the devoted grandad who worked long shifts every week, then still found the time and energy to coach local children on the football pitch. He never sought praise, but generations grew up remembering his humour, patience, and wisdom—some even crediting him for the path their lives took. He shaped a community quietly, consistently, and with a kind of everyday greatness that deserves to be captured on the page. And then there’s the mum who rebuilt her life after hardship, creating a warm, stable, loving home with nothing but determination and heart. Her strength changed the course of her family’s future. Her children grew up knowing what courage looked like, not because she told them, but because she lived it every single day. Stories like hers don’t belong to the famous—they belong to real families who lived through real challenges with grace and grit. Memoir & Co exists to honour these stories. Through a warm, supportive, and structured process, we help families capture the true heart and soul of a person’s life in a beautifully written biography that can be treasured for generations. But too often, people tell us the same heartbreaking sentence: “We always said we’d write Mum’s story… but we never got around to it.” Or, “Dad had so many stories. We wish we’d captured them while we had the chance.” It’s a reminder that life moves quickly — and memories fade faster than we expect. So let this be the moment. Don’t let your family’s stories be the ones that slip away. Capture them now, forever.
